Video: Don Cheadle in “Traitor”

Here’s a new look at the Don Cheadle/Jeff Daniels thriller Traitor, about an undercover operative whose true agenda nobody can figure out. It’s a quicker, more conventional trailer than the first one, and the cast involved makes it a very interesting proposition, if writer/director Jeffrey Nachmanoff (who lamentably wrote the not-good The Day After Tomorrow) can step up his game.

Based on an idea by <a href=”Steve Martin“>Steve Martin, it’s the story of a US Special Forces operative (Cheadle) so deep undercover within a terrorist cell that he gets marked as a terrorist suspect by the FBI. Whether it’s a bureaucratic snafu or a sign that he’s actually become a guerrilla operative working against the United States is shrouded in deep mystery, and it’s up to his boss (Daniels) and the federal agent on the case (the always-great Guy Pearce) to solve it.
