Watch a Movie on Fancast: Harrison Ford in “Force 10 From Navarone”

This sequel to The Guns of Navarone features a change in casting, from Gregory Peck and David Niven to Robert Shaw and Edward Fox in the roles of Mallory and Miller, who are now charged with tracking down a spy they encountered during their successful mission to destroy that island Nazi fortress.

To do so, they are teamed up with a group known as Force 10, led by Lieutenant Colonel Barnsby (Harrison Ford), who are on a sabotage mission to destroy a bridge in Bosnia that is crucial to the Nazi plans. Barnsby is not at all happy with the idea of these two old men hindering his unit, and his fears for the worst become justified when a covert plane theft goes awry, killing most of his unit and putting them into enemy hands. The remaining group, which includes Sgt. Weaver (Carl Weathers) gambles on trying to convince their captors that their motley crew is actually a team of grifters trying to sell the new “wonder drug” penicillin on the black market. Things are dicey for Force 10, but there might be more to the commander’s concubine (Bond girl Barbara Bach) than meets the eye…
