Watch a Movie on Fancast: Richard Linklater’s “Slacker”
In 1991, Richard Linklater made a breakthrough with his seminal independent film Slacker, which was a loose, plotless and wandering examination of the various subcultures of dropouts, burnouts, anarchists, eccentrics, musicians and misfits that was so influential that the title of his movie became interchangeable with “Generation X” to describe everyone under the age of 25 at the time. Watch this film, and you can see what the actual state of mind was like before it was bought, exploited and packaged for fashion and merchandising.
Watch the indie hit Slacker for free in its entirety right here, right now on Fancast.
