Dave Chappelle’s Block Party - Dave Chappelle made a lot of news by walking way from an ungodly amount of money in the name of artistic integrity. The fact that he then proceeded to throw a huge, free music festival in Brooklyn instead speaks to his credibility there. Packed with the likes of Mos Def, the Roots, Dead Prez, Jill Scott, Kanye West, Erykah Badu and a surprise reunion of The Fugees, the music is interspersed with Michel Gondry’s cameras following Chappelle around as he talks with people in the neighborhood. It’s a good time, and everybody’s welcome. Head on over to Dave Chappelle’s Block Party and get your groove on.

Hotel For DogsWall-E is likely going to overload us on futuristic robo-cuteness, so it’ll be good to have some good old-fashioned cuddly animal cuteness on deck. Hotel for Dogs is a simple enough concept - some kids get together and rescue every stray pup they can find and put them all up in a funhouse for dogs. Starring Emma Roberts, Don Cheadle and Lisa Kudrow, it’s not due out until January, but cuddly puppies are cuddly puppies.
