1. Angel: City of Angels The first season of everybody’s favorite (and only) Buffy the Vampire Slayer spinoff is finally here on Fancast. In it, David Boreanaz reprises his Buffy role as Angel, the brooding, 250-year-old vampire with a gypsy-cursed soul and a lust for helping the helpless who moves to Los Angeles on a quest for atonement, and of course, to score some babes. Check out the pilot episode right here, and then marathon the whole season as if you too were immortal.

2. Hell’s Kitchen: 4 Chefs Compete - The cravings of a pregnant woman are not to be trifled with. So what happens when there’s 80 of them? Poor, poor final four.

3. Carell Kimmel Switcheroo - Jimmy Kimmel and Steve Carell engage in a bit of friendly role playing.

Feature
Raising Arizona - We’re all familiar with the Coen Brothers now, but back when all they’d made so far was Blood Simple, nobody knew what to expect when their second film, Raising Arizona, hit theaters back in 1987. Who could have predicted a screwball comedy featuring an ex-con and his mugshot photographer getting married and trying to kidnap one of a rich man’s quintuplets because they can’t have a child of their own? No one could have foreseen the Lone Biker of the Apocalypse. Nicolas Cage, early in his career, is brilliant as H.I. McDonnough, the randomly eloquent ex-criminal whose marriage to Holly Hunter’s Edwina is only predicated on his staying on the straight and narrow, and John Goodman and William Forsythe are hilarious as the criminal brothers Gale and Evelle, who break out of prison and try to get H.I. in on the deal, only to betray him once they figure out just who their new baby actually is.

Trailer
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button The reunion of the director and star of Fight Club couldn’t possibly be a further cry from that project. People have been raving about the trailer for David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, due out this December and likely to be an Oscar contender. Brad Pitt stars in the title role, a curious fluke of a man who was born elderly and proceeded to age in reverse, becoming healthier and younger as time passes by. One might be concerned that the trailer reveals too much, but it’s more likely that it just familiarizes with the film’s central premise, and it’s less about the physicality and more about the journey. With Cate Blanchett starring opposite him, it’s almost a foregone conclusion that this film is going to touch the lives of many, no matter how strange it might be.
