What is Fancast?
- Born from a passion for entertainment, Fancast is the one place where you can find what to watch, where to watch, when to watch it — plus all the video, photos and facts you crave. Fancast is your destination devoted to TV, movies and celebrities.

What do I need to get started?
- Browser/System Requirements:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (or higher); Microsoft Windows XP, SP2 (or higher).
- Mozilla Firefox for Windows (Version 2.0.0.2 or higher); Microsoft Windows XP, SP2 (or higher).
- Mozilla Firefox for Macintosh (Version 1.0.0.2 or higher).
- Safari for Macintosh (Version 3 or higher).
- Safari for Windows (Version 3 or higher).
- Adobe Flash Player 8 (or higher).
- Cookies must be enabled.

Sign in, please
- How do register for Fancast?
- Enter the URL http://www.Fancast.com in your browser's address bar. The Fancast Home page displays. From the main menu, click Sign In. The Sign In page displays.
- If you don't have an account, click the Register link located above the Email Address and Password fields. The Register page displays. Complete all of the fields and click Submit. The Registration Confirmed page displays. From here you can click your preferences and select the content you like or click Return where you left off to begin your Fancast experience.
- After you have registered, you can log in with your user name and password at any time. Click Sign Out (on the main menu) to log out of Fancast.
- If you are a registered user and you've forgotten your password, click Forgot your password. We will e-mail it to you. You must provide the e-mail address used to register with Fancast in order to receive a new password. Click Submit after entering your e-mail address.

No place like home...
- What You Can Watch Today - Based on your favorites and what's new in TV and movies, Fancast recommends content for your viewing pleasure.
- At the top of the Home page next to the heading What You Should Watch Today, click How we make these recommendations. You'll land on a page that contains a listing of upcoming movies and TV shows that we think you'll like based upon what you've told us.
- Also at the top of the Home page is a sliding tray. It's a row of images from TV shows and movies. Float your mouse pointer over an image to view its description. Click an image to view more details and links for discovering in-depth content and video. Use the arrow controls to scroll through the images. Click Play Video to watch a trailer or clip.
Click the icons to the right of the entity descriptions to learn more. You'll see these icons pop up throughout the site. Click this... To do this...
Go to the Detail page for the selected movie or TV show to view more information.
Add the selected entity to Your Fancast Favorites.
Remove the TV show or movie from Your Fancast Favorites.

Open the video page for the selected movie or TV show. - Watch Full Episodes - Click the links to find and watch full episodes of your favorite TV shows for free!

Finding stuff
- How do I find the Fancast entertainment I want to see?
- To browse the site, click one of the links on the site's main navigation bar to find content. Click Sign In so you can save content to Your Fancast Favorites and personalize your experience.
- How do I use Search/Advanced search features?
- The search box is located at the top of each page.

- Enter a search term and click Search or Go or press Enter. The Search Results page displays. Total search results are broken down by category for TV, Movies, People and Tags (shown below).

- If you don't find your search item after viewing the list of results, conduct another search by using the search bar at the bottom of the page.

- If there are no results found, Fancast displays the following message.

- Beneath the message is another search box. To continue your search, enter another term and click Go.

Watching video
- You can watch video on Fancast anytime without a subscription. In fact, we've created a special place where you can watch and search for movie, TV and other entertainment video. Our editors will let you know what's hot this week. Use the following pointers to get started.
- How do I watch video?
- Watching video is easy. You can find videos on virtually every page on Fancast. Click Videos on the main navigation bar to go to a page that contains several video categories, such as movie trailers, TV clips, interviews and editor's picks.
- To search for videos, click in the Find Video search box, enter a movie or TV show name and click Search.

- From the Search Results page, float the cursor over the Watch It icon. The Watch It/Find It pop-up menu displays. Under Watch It, click On Fancast, On DVD or all options to find out where and when you can view your favorite TV shows or movies. Under Find It is a list of web sites external to Fancast where you can find, rent or buy videos. Choose from iTunes, NetFlix or Amazon Unbox. The Find It menu also displays on many types of Fancast pages (located on the right side of the page, just above the Browse related sidebar).
- How does the video player work?
- Fancast's video controls are beneath the video player. After the video automatically begins playing, a progress bar displays (shown as follows).

- The progress bar indicates the video's current run time and duration. You can adjust the audio by clicking the bars to the right of the headphone icon. Adjust the player size (if your system allows it) by clicking the screen icon to the right of the audio icons.
- Click Pause (the center icon) to stop the video. After clicking Pause, the Play icon (forward arrow) displays.

- Click Play to watch a video. To advance to the next video, click the Next icon (to the right of Pause/Play). Click the Previous icon (to the left of Pause/Play) to view the previous video in the list.

What is My Fancast?
- My Fancast is a place for all of your favorite stuff. In My Fancast, you can view content you've selected as your favorite, view user ratings, view recommended content, change your password and customize content. From the menu bar, click My Fancast to begin.
- A few of my favorite things
- To add a movie, TV show, person or tag to your list of favorites, click the Add to My Favorites icon. This icon displays on the Home page and on entity pages.
- The selected content will be saved to the My Fancast Favorites page and categorized as a Movie, TV, People or Tag entity. To get to the My Fancast Favorites page from the main navigation bar, click My Fancast. The My Fancast page displays. From the sub-menu, click Favorites.
- Click Remove from Favorites link to delete the entry from Your Fancast Favorites. You also can click the Remove from My Favorites icon which appears throughout the site.
- Everyone's a critic
- Love it? Hate it? Rate it. Fancast lets you rate TV and movie content and see how others have rated it as well.
- How do I rate content?
- To rate TV or movie content, click the Get More Info icon or a link for the movie or TV show. A detail page for the entity displays. A ratings widget displays in the lower right corner of the video container.

- Click the text Click here to rate this movie (TV series). The rating widget displays.

- Click to select one of the predefined ratings, from Dreadful (one star) to Amazing (five stars). After you select a rating, it displays in the Your Rating area.

- If you select My Fancast from the main navigation bar, the My Fancast page opens. On the My Fancast page sub-menu, click Ratings. The Ratings page displays. On this page you can view rated content from other Fancast users. You can also rate items on the My Fancast Recommendations page.
- May we recommend...
- From the My Fancast page sub-menu, click Recommendations. The Recommendations Main page displays. This page contains content recommended by Fancast. Feel free to rate each movie or TV show by using the ratings widgets that display with each item.
- Changing Your Password
- To change your password, click My Fancast from the main navigation bar. From the My Fancast page sub-menu, click Account. The following fields display.

- Enter a new password in the first field and re-enter the new password to confirm it. When you're done, click Submit. The message "Your password has been changed" displays.
- Customizing your stuff
- Tell us what you like so we can better serve you. By choosing preferences, you can customize and localize your Fancast content to meet your entertainment needs.
- How do I select or change my content preferences?
- From the main navigation bar, click My Fancast. The My Fancast page displays. From the menu listing at the top of the page, click Preferences. The Locations & Preferences page displays.
- Enter your ZIP code in the Where are you? field to localize your Fancast experience then click Go. A list of cable, broadcast and satellite service providers displays. Click your service provider.
- In the What kind of stuff do you like? area, click the option buttons that best describe the frequency with which you watch various entertainment genres, movie types and then select your gender.
- When you are finished, click Save Preferences (in the lower right corner of the page).

What's on TV?
- For your viewing pleasure, Fancast has a TV listings page so you can browse for your favorite show. You can view programming by your location and service provider if you have customized your preferences on the My Fancast page.
- Click TV Listings on the main navigation bar to view the dynamic grid. Click a program to get in-depth information about where and when your program will hit the airwaves. Use the scroll bar to view all programs.
- Peer into the future TV schedule by clicking Change Day and select a day in the list.
- Find out what's on at this moment by clicking Now
- Discover what's on during primetime hours by clicking Primetime.
- Customize your TV experience by filtering for Movies, Sports, Kids or HD for a certain day or time.

Tag! You're it!
- A tag is a word that represents a subject, category or concept. In Fancast, you can search and view tags associated with site content.
- How do I search and view tags?
- To search for a tag, enter it in one of the Search bars and click either Search or Go. The Search Results page displays. Locate the tag on the Search Results page and click it to view a detail page.
- From the sub-menu on a TV, People or Movies entity page, click Tags. The Browse Tags page contains a collage listing of system tags in no particular order. The tags display in different font sizes. The font sizes represent how popular the tag is — the larger the font, the more popular the tag.

Get connected with Six Degrees
- Using the Six Degrees tool is a fun way to learn the relationships between your favorite performer, movie or TV show and other related topics. Do you know the game "The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon"? Six Degrees uses the same concept. You can link a movie, TV show or person to others who are connected in some way by artistic or entertainment projects.
- How do I access and use Six Degrees?
- When viewing a TV, Movie or People or Search Results page, click the Explore Six Degrees link or icon.
- The Explore Six Degrees of... page displays. It shows a series of cards that contain information about or related to the selected entity or item. The focus card displays in the forefront. The other cards rotate when you move the cursor over them. At the bottom of the focus card is your pathway, which contains images of the items you have viewed in Six Degrees.
- Click a card to bring it to the forefront and view its contents. To learn more information about the item in the card, click Go to details page.
- You also can click the links in the columns at the bottom of the page to learn more related information about the search term. The lists contain links for Movies, TV, People and Tags.
- If you think of a topic you'd like to associate in Six Degrees, enter it in the "What are you looking for" search bar in the upper right corner of the page. Click Go to begin making the connection.
