Brinkley is a vegetarian
On July 11, 2006, Brinkley's publicist confirmed that the couple separated following the disclosure of Cook's alleged affair with Diana Bianchi, a teenaged assistant in his architectural firm; Press and public interest increased with Cook's revelation that he had paid $300,000 to Bianchi in the hopes of forestalling a lawsuit.
Brinkley and Cook settled out-of-court on July 10, 2008, with Brinkley granting her fourth husband $2.1 million in exchange for custody of their two children and the retention of 18 disputed properties in the Hamptons. Additionally, Cook was granted parenting time with the children.
On July 19, 2006 singer Samantha Cole told the press that she too had been seduced by Cook when she was 19 years old, prior to Cook's marriage to Brinkley.
She and her then husband-to-be Richard Taubman survived a helicopter crash in March 1994 near Telluride, Colorado. Nine months later they married near the spot of the crash.
