There's No Place Like Home, Parts 3 (Episode 15, 5/29/08)
In a flash forward, Sayid kills a man outside of Hurley's mental hospital. He tells Hurley that he has to take him someplace safe. Hurley does not want to go, until he hears that Jeremy Bentham was murdered. Hurley, who was playing chess by himself, says "Checkmate Mr. Eko" and then leaves with Sayid. In the Orchid Station, Keamy’s dying words are that no matter where Ben goes, “he” will find him. He dies, and the light on the freighter bomb goes on. Michael’s freezing has temporarily worked, but he is almost out of liquid nitrogen. The helicopter arrives. Desmond tries to warn them, but Lapidus lands anyway. As they frantically work to put gas in the chopper, Sun looks for Jin. They force her on to the helicopter. Just as Jin runs on deck, the helicopter takes off. Michael’s tank runs out. He hears whispers, and then Christian Shephard appears telling him he can go now. The freighter explodes before they can get back to save Jin. Sun screams in horror. In a flash forward, Sun confronts Charles Widmore in London. She tells him that they have common interests, mentioning that they’re not the only ones who left the island. Sun hands him her business card from Paik Industries. On the beach, Juliet is surprised to see Sawyer swimming up from the ocean. He is surprised to see her drinking rum, until he sees the smoke coming up from the freighter out in the distance. Back in the Orchid, Ben has blown up the vault with the metal things he put inside it. He puts on a parka, telling Locke that he’s going someplace cold. He explains that whoever moves the island can never come back to it. It is the job Jacob has chosen for him while Locke is meant to lead The Others. Ben apologizes and says goodbye. Locke goes to meet The Others. Ben crawls into the hole made by the vault and arrives in a frozen area that has a giant wheel in it. As Ben starts turning the wheel, everyone on the island experiences a blinding flash of light. Just as the helicopter is about to land on the island, it disappears. The chopper then runs out of fuel and crashes into the ocean. They all jump on a lifeboat. In a flash forward, Kate has a dream where she gets a strange phone call and then she sees Claire telling her not to take Aaron back to the island. Back on the lifeboat, they see a rescue boat in the distance. Jack quickly tells them that they are going to have to lie about everything that happened on the island. The boat arrives and it turns out that it belongs to Penny Widmore. She reunites with Desmond and they kiss. She tells him that she found him thanks to his phone call and her tracking station in the Arctic. Jack decides to tell her about the lies they are going to tell. Penny takes them 3000 miles to the island of Membata. Lapidus and Desmond stay behind while The Oceanic 6 - Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley, Sun, and Aaron – paddle their lifeboat to shore and are helped by the local people. In a flash forward, Jack goes back to the funeral home. He breaks in and opens up Jeremy Bentham’s coffin. Ben sneaks up behind him. Jack says that Jeremy told Jack and Kate that Ben was off the island and also let them know all the very bad things that happened after the Oceanic 6 left. Jeremy said that it was Jack’s fault and that he had to go back to make things right. Ben says that the island won’t let Jack return on his own – they "all" have to go back. Including Jeremy Bentham, who we see in the coffin is really John Locke.

There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 (Episode 14, 5/29/08)
In a flash forward, we see a continuation of the conversation Jack and Kate had in the final episode of season 3 outside the airport. Kate is angry at Jack for saying they have to go back to the island. She mentions that Jeremy Bentham, who the obituary is about, was crazy when he came to them. After slapping Jack for not being there for Aaron, she tells him he has no right to ask her to return to the island. Back on the island, Sawyer and Jack find Hurley and arrive at the Orchid. Locke is there alone. Meanwhile, Michael, Desmond, and Jin try to figure out what to do about the bomb on the freighter. Keamy and his men getting are getting ready to get on the helicopter with Ben when Kate runs out of the jungle, claiming she’s being followed. Keamy and his men prepare, but they are no match for Ben’s men, Sayid, and Richard Alpert, who shoots Keamy. Ben gives Kate and Sayid the helicopter as a reward for saving him. In a flash forward, Hurley gets a visit from Walt at the mental hospital. Walt says that he received a visit from Jeremy Bentham, but none of the Oceanic 6. Walt wants to know why they are lying, and Hurley says it’s so they can protect the people on the island who didn’t come back. Back at the Orchid, Locke and Jack argue about whether or not to stay on the island. Locke tells Jack that if he is going to leave, then he is going to have to lie to protect the island. Ben arrives, telling Jack to get to the freighter within the hour if he wants to leave. Back on the boat, Michael gets an idea to freeze the bomb with liquid nitrogen, to buy some time. Daniel arrives back on the beach to take more people to the boat, specifically telling Miles and Charlotte that they need to go. Charlotte is ready, but Miles wants to stay and tells her he is surprised to hear that she’s ready to go when she spent so long trying to get back. She claims to not know what he’s talking about. Down in the depths of the Orchid station, Locke tries to get some information from an orientation video that discusses a space-time experiment, while Ben rushes to put things in a giant vault. A bloody Keamy shows up saying that the body armor he was wearing saved him from the bullet. He shows them the heart rate monitor that controls the freighter bomb. Locke tries to reason with him, but Ben stabs Keamy in the neck. Locke is shocked, but Ben doesn’t seem to care that his actions may have killed the people on the freighter. Sawyer, Hurley and Jack arrive at the helicopter, get Lapidus out of his handcuffs, and take off with Kate and Sayid. On the beach, Charlotte tells Daniel that she is going to stay on the island because she is looking for the place she was born. Juliet also decides to stay to help everyone gets off the island first. While Michael struggles to freeze the bomb, Lapidus discovers the helicopter has a fuel leak. After throwing off some cargo, it is still not light enough to make it back, so Sawyer whispers something to Kate, kisses her, and jumps into the ocean.

There's No Place Like Home, Part 1 (Episode 12, 5/15/08)
In a flash forward, we see the Oceanic Six being flown from the island to the mainland. Jack prepares everyone to lie to their families and the press about the real story behind their survival. Back on the island, Daniel turns on the SAT phone and hears the crew talking about the Orchid station. Jack and Kate decide to track the chopper, while Daniel secretly tells Charlotte how important it is that they get off the island. Jack and Kate run into Miles, Sawyer, and baby Aaron in the jungle. Sawyer decides to continue on with Jack and sends Kate back to the beach with the baby. In a flash, the Six are at a press conference. It is said that Kate gave birth to Aaron on the island. Sun claims Jin never made it off the plane. Later, Sayid is reunited with Nadia. Back on the island, Sayid arrives at the beach with the small boat, telling everyone of the freighter folks' plan of killing them all. Daniel takes over loading people onto the boat and sends Sayid and Kate after Jack. Meanwhile, Ben, Hurley, and Locke are going to the Orchid station to try and move the island. On the way, Ben uncovers an emergency stash that contains a mirror, which he holds up to the sun to communicate with someone at the station. In another flash, Sun visits her father and tells him that she used her settlement from Oceanic to buy a controlling interest in his company, in a seeming act of revenge for his contempt of Jin. Hurley's parents throw him a surprise party. His father presents him with a gift - he fixed up Hurley's old car. Hurley is thrilled until he reads the speedometer showing The Numbers, and runs away terrified. Back on the freighter, the first boat arrives. Sun and Jin are shocked to see Michael. He has repaired the engine but finds that something is interfering with a signal on the boat. Desmond goes to find what it is. Ben, Locke, and Hurley arrive at the Orchid station but the freighter people are already there. Jack and Sawyer find the helicopter, where Lapidus is handcuffed. Lapidus informs them of the plan the freighter people have for taking Ben and killing everyone else. In a flash, Jack speaks at his father's funeral. After everyone leaves the church, a woman approaches him and tells him that she was the reason his dad went to Australia in the first place, to see their daughter Claire, who was also on 815. Jack almost faints with shock. Back on the freighter, Desmond discovers a huge amount of C4 wired to explode. In the jungle, Sayid and Kate run into Richard Alpert and a large amount of The Others, who all have weapons and take them captive. Meanwhile, Ben instructs Locke on how to get to the Orchid Station, insisting he has a plan. He walks out from hiding and turns himself in to Keamy and the freighter people. Keamy knocks Ben unconscious.
