"I'm such a work in progress at the moment, it's crazy, and life wants me on edge, I swear to you. But as long as I don't forget the past, I'm cool. If you remember the stitches more than you remember the p--sy, you're going to be just fine." - Downey to Rolling Stone Magazine, September 2008
"What's amazing is no matter how much I f**k up, it keeps straightening itself out." - Downey quoted in Premiere, Oct. 2, 2002
"What's the f*cking point of crashing, burning and rising like a phoenix out of your own ashes into the same exact f*cking thing you were before, sans drugs or alcohol? What's the value in that?" - Downey Jr. to Playboy magazine, December 1997
