About Alias Smith and Jones
The series, set in Kansas during the 1890s, follows the misadventures of Jed "Kid" Curry and Hannibal Hayes, the leaders of the infamous Devil Hole Gang, as they attempt to go straight. The two make a deal with the governor and are granted a provisional amnesty which will become a full pardon if they spend a full twelve months laying off crime and doing sundry good deeds. Hearing these fantastically easy terms, the two leave the Devil Hole Gang and adopt the aliases Thaddeus Jones and Joshua Smith.
