Geared for children ages four through 12, Bonehead Detectives of the Paleoworld was a clever, slightly irreverent, but eminently informative science series. Hosted by Danny Tambarelli (The Adventures of Pete and Pete and Rebecca Budig (All My Children), who played a pair of inquisitive cousins named Sam and Allie, the series endeavored to answer e-mailed questions from the kids at home, with most of the queries centering around dinosaurs. The "answers" were largely visual, using film footage of paleontological expeditions, artists' sketches, and animation; for the sake of accuracy, the answers were screened by real-life scientists and experts, then rewritten in a manner that would entertain and enlighten the kiddie viewers. Beginning its weekly, half-hour run in the fall of 2000, Bonehead Detectives of the Paleoworld was seen as part of the Discovery Channel's Sunday morning lineup. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
