Rory decides to just be friends with Logan after realizing she is unable to have a fleeting romance with him, but is stunned when he tells her he wants to commit to her. When he takes her to meet his parents, however, the two are given a rude awakening from the disapproving elders. After a subesquent apology from Logan's father, Rory finds herself offered a chance to intern at one of his newspapers. Meanwhile, Lorelai coaxes Luke into filling in as the Dragonfly chef after Sookie is laid up in bed.
