Gilmore Girls
The Bracebridge Dinner
Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) is commissioned to prepare an elaborate dinner -- seven courses, "Old English" theme -- for a historical society planning to hold its convention at Independence Inn; however, when a blizzard prevents the society from showing up, Sookie and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) invite their friends and loved ones to partake in the tastey repast. Among the guests are Sookie's fiancé, Jackson (Jackson Melville), in character as the "town squire" and Lorelai's father, Richard (Edward Herrmann), who is still bitter over being forced out of his business. At the festivities, Richard's wife, Emily (Kelly Bishop), has a meltdown, and the trouble-prone Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) tries to come between Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Dean (Jared Padalecki). ~ All Movie Guide
