Upon his return to New York, Suresh is unnerved to find an undiscovered Issac Mendez painting that foretells death of Noah Bennet. Noah pursues his mission of taking down the company with Suresh and Matt and is equally disturbed by the painting. Claire shares her secret with West who reveals his own power as well as a painful memory of a man with horn-rimmed glasses who held him captive, sounding much like her own father. Determined to make it to the U.S., Maya willingly uses her deadly abilities to free Alejandro from a Mexican jail. Ando returns to his job in Japan and discovers a message from Hiro from the past, hidden in the hilt of the sword. Meanwhile, back in ancient Japan, just when Hiro had written off Kensei, his childhood hero surprises him while his feelings for Yaeko grow. Niki and Micah leave Las Vegas in an attempt to start over after DL's passing. Niki leaves Micah with family in New Orleans while she takes a job with Bob at the Company, in order to obtain a cure for her abilities. Peter agrees to help the Irish gang with a robbery in order to get his life back. But he fears who he might really be and chooses to stay with the gang a little longer. Sylar awakens in the care of Candace, who saved him from death at the end of Hiro's sword. He finds he has lost all of the collected abilities and kills her for her powers. But he can't seem to access her powers either and is now lost in the jungle they were hiding in.
