The couple are told they will have to decide between the mother and child's lives after the team discovers small cell lung cancer. Vogler calls a board meeting in order to get rid of House and when Wilson objects, defeating the necessary unanimous vote, he calls a vote to dismiss Wilson. House treats a vegan couple's baby who has become malnourished and Cuddy calls in social services. House's need to know leads to a revelation that the parents are not actually responsible. Cuddy defeats Vogler's second vote against House and puts Vogler to pasture in favor of keeping House and Wilson.
