After recovering from his shooting, Crews goes back to work. He claims he is unable to remember who shot him which Tidwell finds suspicious. A retired astronaut is shot and killed mid-flight. Charlie Crews and Dani Reese investigate a list of suspects which includes the son and current business partner of the deceased. The duo take into consideration that the astronaut was about to pay the Russians $35 million to take him into space, at great personal and professional expense. Crews confronts Agent Bogner, the shooter, by shooting with the same bullet. He leverages Bogner's life against Ted's freedom and gets Ted out of jail.
