Crews and Reese investigate the deaths of three Russians that Crews connects to his investigation into Mickey Raybourne. He follows the trail to Roman, the mob informant, who is revealed to be involved in human trafficking. Roman threatens Charlie and those close to him. Crews shoots an intruder in his home who turns out to be his father, landing him on administrative leave. As her relationship with Captain Tidwell heats up, so does Reese's drinking, which leads her to confront Crews about her father's involvement in Crews' incarceration. Before he can reveal the information, Crews is shot by an unknown assailant at his front door.
