Sawyer believes Locke has been buried alive down the well. Miles notices a huge statue in the distance. Time jumps again but the headaches and nosebleeds stop. Juliet thinks Locke saved them and the time jumps are over. Flash to three years later - two DHARMA members see Horace Goodspeed on their monitors, drunk and blowing up trees with dynamite. They decide to tell LaFleur. They go to a house and knock on the door. Sawyer answers, wearing a DHARMA uniform that says he is LaFleur, head of security. Sawyer grabs Miles and they go pick up Horace. They bring Horace back to Amy, a pregnant woman who says they had a fight about Paul. Suddenly, Amy realizes her baby is coming. Flash to three years earlier - Sawyer, Juliet, and Miles find a heartbroken Faraday who says Charlotte disappeared in the last time jump. In the distance, they see a couple being attacked by two men. Juliet realizes they are in the 1970's. The men shoot the man and put a bag over the woman's head. Before they can hurt her, Juliet and Sawyer kill the two men. They take the bag off the woman's head. It is Amy. Amy insists they bury the two men and carry her husband Paul back to DHARMA. She leads them back to camp, but first tricks them into walking into the sonic fence. Flash to three years later - Amy is in labor and needs a C-section. Sawyer finds Juliet, who is working as a DHARMA mechanic, and convinces her to help. She is able to deliver a healthy baby boy. Flash to three years earlier - Sawyer tells Horace that he is Jim LaFleur, a ship captain who was leading an expedition to find the Black Rock. Horace tells Sawyer that he is sending his crew off the island on the next submarine voyage. Juliet tells Jin, Faraday, and Miles about the war between DHARMA, the Hostiles and the Purge. Faraday sees a young red-headed girl and realizes she is Charlotte. Suddenly, alarms ring and everyone runs into houses. Richard Alpert arrives, demanding answers from Horace about what happened to his two men and asking if their truce is over. Sawyer runs outside to talk privately to Alpert. He tells Alpert that he shot his two men and that he is not a member of DHARMA, so the truce has not been broken. To prove he is not a DHARMA member, he asks Alpert about the H-bomb called Jughead and John Locke. Convinced but still unhappy, Alpert wants Paul's dead body. Amy agrees, but first takes his Ankh necklace. That night, Horace agrees to let Sawyer and his crew stay for two weeks. Flash to three years later - Juliet and Sawyer are in love and living together. Sawyer visits Horace to inform him he has a new baby boy. Horace tells Sawyer he is still insecure about Amy's feelings for Paul. He wonders if Amy can be over Paul even if it has only been three years. Sawyer thinks so because he loved someone three years ago but is now over her. The next morning, Jin calls Sawyer to tell him what he found at the lagoon. Sawyer drives off to meet him, where he finds Jin with Hurley, Jack, and Kate.
