Obsession can take many forms, and in this television series produced for A&E, everyday people suffering from repetitive behaviors and potentially debilitating fears reveal just how much their phobias affect their everyday lives. In each one-hour episode, viewers explore two cases in which people experiencing extreme anxiety disorders struggle through the process of rehabilitation. In addition to highlighting the peculiarities of such conditions as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, and many other increasingly-common modern maladies, the series allows the viewer into the mind of the patients as one of five therapists works to help them change their debilitating thought patterns. By using cognitive behavioral therapy, each subject learns to recognize the thought processes that contribute to their symptoms and discovers how to manage their anxiety in order to eliminate paralyzing compulsions. Later, following several weeks of treatment, each subject is revisited to examine the effects of the therapy sessions. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
