Bev (Estelle Parsons) comes to visit, and Roseanne tricks Jackie into coming over to see her. Dan hides out in the garage to avoid seeing Bev, while Becky waits on her hand and foot. Darlene saves her best comebacks for the dinner table so she can be sent to her room. Roseanne gets upset when Bev admits that she was destined to be a housewife while Jackie had more potential.
