After losing the immunity challenge in the previous episode, Tagi chose to vote Sonja off and now finds itself at an 8 to 7 disadvantage against the competing tribe, Pagong. Nonetheless, the tribemates make do and early alliances begin to form, the most unlikely of which being between cranky conservative septuagenarian Rudy and openly gay Richard. Meanwhile, the irritation with B.B. reaches new heights when he uses some of the limited clean drinking water to clean his t-shirt. In order to avoid tribal counsel, the castaways compete in an immunity challenge which involves eating live bugs native to the island.
