With Dirk gone and a merge with Pagong imminent, Susan, Rudy, Kelly, and Richard solidify their four-way alliance, leaving Sean high and dry, as he insists on avoiding any alliances. Meanwhile, Gervase causes controversy over at the Pagong camp when he makes some disparaging remarks about females; however, it is Joel who defended the comments and receives the majority of the backlash from the women in the tribe. Then, after a victory at the reward challenge, the Pagong castaways return to camp to find their chickens devoured by a monitor.
