Rob (Dick Van Dyke) and Laura (Mary Tyler Moore) go out of their way to be friendly to their new neighbors, Fred and Mary Jane Staggs (Joby Baker, Sue Taylor). Before long, the Petries and Staggs are spending a lot of time together -- way too much time, so far as Rob and Laura's jealous best friends Jerry and Millie Helper (Jerry Paris, Ann Morgan Guilbert) are concerned.
