The Pretender 2001 (2001)

Television movie based on the NBC television series, "The Pretender," about Jarod, a virtuous genius whose exceptional intelligence allows him to master any subject -- thus enabling him to assume various identities -- to become a doctor, an airline pilot or a sea captain. Jarod uses his skill to help people who can't help themselves, despite being stalked by Miss Parker, Broots and Dr. Sydney Green, agents of a clandestine research complex known as the Centre. The movie picks up where the series left off, while also going back in time to see how Jarod originally escaped from the Centre, which had sold his computer-like mind to the highest bidder.
