Documentary about the rise and development of mammals, the creatures that inherited the Earth after the dinosaurs died off 65 million years ago. The program features an array of creatures, including the tiny shrew-like Leptictidium; the largest land mammal ever to have existed, the Indricotherium; an eight-foot-high bird, the Gastornis; and a miniature horse, the Propalaetherium.
