Dramatic series about twenty-somethings living in New York City and struggling with careers, the dating scene and the realities of life after college. Characters include: Dawnie, a 27-year-old virgin and graduate student who is writing her thesis about the "lost" generation and the 20s as a second coming-of-age; Ty, former campus stud and Dawnie's ex-boyfriend who dumped her because of her conservative sexual morals; Sam, who studied acting in school, but works on the lowest rung of the ladder in the Manhattan D.A.'s office; Jesse, a harried publicist navigating the dating rituals of the downtown scene; Vandy, a struggling musician by day and bartender by night, who carries a torch for Sam; Russell, Ty's college roommate, a gay, closeted, soap opera star terrified of being outed; and Vince, Sam's young, handsome, smart and ambitious new boss.
